I don't see any new news out there. It's all about the tip. Glad he is getting positive press for it.
Have a great weekend everyone.

It's Friday, but I have to work. Yuck. I really hope people have something better to do than come to the library and check out books and videos today.
It will probably be busy with summer people coming in to check they're email though. Sure wish I had a long weekend off. Next year, I am taking them
off. even if I don't get paid for it.

Hi Anne! I have to work today too... bummer!
But I finish around 3, so
I will get home just when my house gets really hot! A/C has it's moments! Fortunately I installed a new ceiling fan last year, so my living room is much
more comfortable than it used to be. All the news all the time seems to be about MJ... Yawn...
Happy Weekend all! ![]() apri' il tuo cuore |

Well, I hate to rub it in, but I DON'T have to work today for a change.
Just got back from spin class, and have the whole day ahead of me! And it's totally glorious - sunny and hot with a high of around 90. Love, love,
love it. We got a fun invitation to a 4th of July party tomorrow night from friends who have a great view of the fireworks. They bought a "penthouse
loft" in a building downtown that was built during the height of the real estate craze. Developers were putting really fancy condos on the third and
fourth floor of commercial buildings in our little 4 block downtown - but then the recession hit. I'm sure my friends got a screaming deal on it. It should
be fun to see.

I am all confused. This feels like Saturday for me, probably because our daughter has today off and came down from Sacramento last night.
Jean, I wanted to tell you how much I am enjoying my Pilates classes. I opted for one-on-one instruction for a while, because as a 62-year-old starting a new kind of physical activity, I thought I needed the individual instruction. It is the nicest thing I have done for myself in a long time. I don't even care if I don't lose weight or look any thinner. I feel so good when I leave and it has helped with my shoulder and hip pain. They also have a drop-in stretch class, which I went to this week. The other people look like they are in their late 70's, but flexibility-wise I fit right in.
What does everyone think of Sarah Palin stepping down as governor? If this is to run for President in 2012, she is crazy. She doesn't even finish her term as governor and she thinks she can run for President? I think she is a frigging nutjob. Of course, I thought that before. "You can set fire to an actor's grandmother, but if you give him good notices, he'll figure out a way to regard the unfortunate grandma incident as an isolated lapse in judgment from an otherwise benevolent, discerning individual." Sarah Palin a nutjob? tsk tsk... that's being too kind.
I'm hearing that she resigned because her job popularity is dropping in Alaska and she doesn't want "local" negativity to interfere with a possible Presidential run against Obama in the future. Some say that she's being criticized for not spending much time on Alaskan obligations, and doesn't want to keep explaining why she's traveling so much, using her job as a springboard for a National office. One additional theory is that she wants to make money as a talk show host, paid pundit, etc... which she can't do as governor... and again, use that platform as a base for a possible presidential run. Some hint at an "iceberg" [ie, hidden problem] situation, but honestly, I don't quite know what it could be. I'm kind of disappointed she won't be spouting off as Governor. She's such an easy target... But I take heart.. if she gets into punditry, she'll sound just as ill informed and out of touch.

Nutjob? I do think that's the prevailing sentiment. Who the hell wants a presidential candidate who quits her current public service job for no good
reason? Suck it up, lady, and if you have the talent and creds the American people will figure it out. As they did with our current president. All I heard
today was a brief snippet on NPR saying this stunt probably solidified her position as a weirdo longshot on the margins of political relevancy. Hubs was
following it more closely, and all he could say is that it appears she's a nutjob.
